Thomas drew this picture the day we told him about his cancer. We had the idea for this site the same day, and when we returned from the doctor that day, he drew this picture to get it started. Because of when and why he drew this picture, it is one of the most special items we have. Thomas made this picture especially for me one day because he knew I liked pictures of space (I always had space wallpapers on my computer). This picture hung in my office for a long time. The background is a 9 x 12 sheet of black construction paper. The white stars are drawn on, and the planets and yellow stars are cut from individual pieces of paper. The entire picture was Thomas's original idea, and it's one of my personal favorites. -Ron

This was one of Taylor's earliest pieces of artwork, and his first watercolor. We just handed him the materials and let him create. What resulted was a picture as bright and wild as his personality, a picture "just like Taylor". Of all the pictures in the gallery, this one makes one of the best desktop wallpapers, especially at resolutions of 1024x768 and above.

One of the first theme-based pictures that Thomas drew ever. One day at Sunday School he studied about loving and helping others. He was supposed to draw a picture of him helping someone, so he drew himself helping Ritina wheel the trashcans to the curb for trash day. This picture is framed and has hung in our hallway for many years.

While in kindergarten Thomas just scribbled out this tiger one day and we immediately fell in love with it. It is another of our favorite pieces of his artwork.

Another of our favorites. This wonderful cray-pas school bus decorated the cover of a folder Thomas made for an open house in first grade. It has been a special piece of artwork to us ever since.

Thomas painted this picture of an Amaryllis growing in his classroom shortly before he had to leave school earlier this year because of his tumor. He wrote this poem that goes with the picture:
Amaryllis, it's red for hot.
As it sleeps in a little glass pot.
Its stem is so tall, it seems to touch the sky.
In the wind it's so flappy, it seems to fly.
Amaryllis, it makes a good feeling.
It's so tall it could touch the ceiling.
The Amaryllis is red
As it sleeps in a cylinder dirt bed.

Thomas drew this picture June 6 especially for a flower-themed art show at the Vogel Gallery in Ridgefield, Connecticut. The owner, Anne Vogel, is displaying some of Thomas's artwork at her show. The original is being raffled with the proceeds going to Thomas. The show runs June 9 through July 21. The raffle drawing will be held the last day of the show.
